Training Principles

Training Principles is part of a five-part series (Foundations of Strength and Movement) designed to teach the core principles of strength training and how to avoid injury during movement and exercise. In this 1st series, you will learn to understand the different types of training programs and how you can apply them correctly for your level of fitness and wellness goals. You will immediately learn about program development and several techniques you can apply to your health and wellness program. This class is offered in-person and over Zoom.

Breath and Core in Movement

Breath and Core in Movement is part of a five-part series (Foundations of Strength and Movement) designed to teach the core principles of strength training and how to avoid injury during movement and exercise. In this second series, you will learn the correlation between your core and your breath and how to incorporate these principles in your cardiovascular and strength training programs. You will learn how to assess your movement and the progressions needed to advance your cardiovascular and strength training practices safely.

All participants need to be approved before joining this class.

Upper Body Foundations

Upper Body Foundations is a part of a five-part series (Foundations of Strength and Movement) designed to teach the core principles of strength training of the upper body and how to avoid injury during movement and exercise. In this third series, you will learn the correlation between your neck, shoulder, and thoracic spine and how to incorporate these principles in your strength training programs. You will learn to assess your movement and the progressions needed to advance your strength training and mobility practice safely.

Lower Body Foundations

Lower Body Foundations is part of a five-part series (Foundations of Strength and Movement) and is designed to teach the core principles of strength training for the lower body and how to avoid injury during movement and exercise. In this fourth series, you will learn the correlation between your lower back, hips, legs, knees, ankles, and feet and how to incorporate these principles into your strength training programs. You will learn how to assess your movement and the progressions needed to advance your strength and mobility training practice safely.

Upper and Lower Body Strength

Upper and Lower Body Strength is part of a five-part series (Foundations of Strength and Movement) and is designed to teach the core principles of strength training for the upper and lower body and how to avoid injury during movement and exercise. In this fifth series, you will combine everything you know from Foundational Level training and incorporate these principles into your strength training programs. You will learn how to build programs and exercise routines you can immediately implement into your training practices.
